 Introduction

The William Storms Allergy Clinic is a full service allergy clinic which provides diagnosis and treatment of nasal allergies, hay fever, asthma, chronic cough, bee allergies, sinusitis, food allergies, eczema and hives, etc.

The clinic provides specific allergy skin testing by the prick and intradermal techniques.  In addition, special procedures are available, such as pulmonary function testing, exercise asthma challenge testing, methacholine inhalational challenge testing and a new advancement in diagnosing sinus disease: the low-dose Sinus MiniCAT™ Scanner; the first MiniCAT™ Sinus CAT Scanner on the Front Range and only the second in the state of Colorado.

Dr. Storms has practiced in Southern Colorado since 1975 and is a Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.  He is joined by an experienced staff of Allergy nurses and Nurse Practitioners.

Our staff includes Certified Asthma Educators who provide excellent personalized care for patients with asthma.

To better serve our patients in Southern Colorado we also have a clinic in Pueblo.

  Introducing

The Cough Center
at The William Storms Allergy Clinic

The Cough Center has been established to provide a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation of people with chronic cough. Chronic cough has many potential causes, including postnasal drip, sinus problems, allergies, asthma, bronchitis, GERD, etc. The Cough Center has developed a full diagnostic plan and treatment plan for people with chronic cough. Call 955-6000 and ask for an appointment at The Cough Center.

Exhaled Nitric Oxide Testing

Our clinic now has an exhaled nitric oxide testing machine, the first of its kind for clinical use in Southern Colorado.  This tests the exhaled gas, nitric oxide, from the lungs of patients to identify the diagnosis of asthma and to monitor treatment.  It allows the doctor to have more information than just the spirometry in identifying those patients who may or may not have asthma and also patients who are at a point where their asthma medication can be increased or decreased.
