Asthma Educator

Susan Kirkpatrick, CMA-C, AE-C 

Susan has been with Dr. Storms since 1988.  She is a certified pollen counter with the National Allergy Bureau (NAB) since 1991 and a certified asthma educator since 2003.  Susan has work in all areas of the back office, including clinical staff, allergy injections and special injections.  She strives for all patients to reach their optimal health and improved quality of life.

A Certified Asthma Educator (AE-C) is an expert in teaching, educating, and counseling people with asthma and their families in the knowledge and skills necessary to minimize the impact of asthma on their quality of life.

Asthma Education appointments are being made, usually same day, for anyone who feels they need more information about their asthma, inhaler technique, reassurance about side effects, a written asthma action plan (especially school aged children), and general asthma brainstorming.
